Two kidnappers killed, others arrested in Kogi
A gang of kidnappers terrorizing commuters along the Idah-Ajegu road in Kogi State was intercepted by members of the Nigerian Security and Protection Corps (NSCDC) in a joint operation with members of a local vigilante community.
It was gathered that the patrol security team saw the abductors while they were terrorizing commuters on the road on Saturday, May 1.
The security operatives overpowered the abductors, killing two. They also detained two more people and released two victims.
Chief Press Secretary to Kogi State Governor, Muhammed Onogwu, who confirmed this during a press statement, said Yahaya Bello had instructed the government chairmen, security agencies, vigilantes, hunters, and members of the general public to figure harmoniously to uproot criminals from the state.
Governor Bello warned that the state wasn’t an area for illicit activities which those that engaged in crimes will surely be addressed.
We’ll follow you through the valley, caves, ashore, and on the water. We’ll make Kogi a living hell for you, and we’ll expel you from our state by any means necessary. Few cannot be permitted to inflict pain on the majority of our people, according to Yahaya Bello.
