SUMMER 2021 STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES OFFER VIRTUAL UI FACULTY-LED, INTERNSHIPS, AND COURSES.





Students who are eligible for financial assistance, evidenced on the UI Award Letter, and are interested in Virtual Faculty-Led programs, Virtual Internships, or Virtual Course offerings may receive a Need-Based Grant. These grants, based on financial need and program selection, range from $250 – $1,500.

For specific information concerning your eligibility for the Need-Based Grant, please contact the UI Study Abroad Office (319) 335-0353 to arrange a time to speak with Teresa Kout or submit the Need-Based Grant application via email request (Teresa Kout). Application deadlines are approaching; you can receive funding details prior to submitting your program application to assist you in making a decision if you wish.

SUMMER 2021 STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES

AWARD CRITERIA

  • Grants are awarded based on the applicant’s relative need, as shown on the UI Award Summary
  • US citizens and US permanent residents (with completed FAFSA and UI Award Letter)
  • Undergraduate, enrollment in a full-time degree-seeking student at the University of Iowa
  • Good academic standing
  • Current academic year FAFSA must be completed and processed by the UI Office for Student Financial Aid
  • Registration in academic credit-earning approved Study Abroad course (ABRD or INTL) prior to the release of the award

APPLICATION

Need-based grant application (send a request to Teresa Kout to receive via email) – you will receive a notification within 5-7 days of submitting your grant application.
